Britain and Qatar Express Deep Regret Over Gaza Ceasefire Collapse

The office of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak stated in a release on Friday that "Sunak and the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed their deep regret over the collapse of the humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza during their meeting at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai." Additionally, Sunak noted that "the renewable energy companies Masdar and RWE have committed to investing up to £11 billion ($13.9 billion) in the Dogger Bank offshore wind power station." He added in a press conference at the COP28 summit in Dubai on Friday: "I am pleased to announce a new agreement between Masdar and RWE that includes the commitment to jointly invest up to £11 billion in the new British wind farm at Dogger Bank."
