Ayoub to Mikati: Explain How You Spent Special Drawing Rights and Mandatory Reserves and Under What Legal Basis?

The media office of "Strong Republic" bloc member, MP Ghada Ayoub, stated: "If the media office of caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati had responded to the legitimate information and questions raised by the European Observatory for the Integrity of Lebanon regarding the spending of Special Drawing Rights, which MP Ayoub commented on via a tweet, they would have known that she is not one to advocate for defamation or campaigns." It added, addressing Mikati: "Your government, Mr. President, has squandered nearly one billion dollars of Special Drawing Rights without any legal justification, yet at the same time, it has found no source to finance the municipal and optional elections. If the word 'squandered' disturbed you, please explain to the Lebanese how your government spent the Special Drawing Rights and the mandatory reserves and under what legal basis."
