The same source noted that Mbappé commented while leaving the pitch, "I am injured," and in reality, the player had already been wearing a compression bandage on his ankle since the start of the match, which may explain the pain he was experiencing.
Additionally, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique addressed Mbappé's injury, sending a reassuring message to the club's fans. Enrique stated in comments to "Amazon Prime Video" after the match about Mbappé’s injury: "It’s not a serious problem, but there is pain. I think his exit was the smartest decision.
