WHO Reveals Number of Bodies Under the Rubble in Gaza

The World Health Organization (WHO) stated on Friday that it "received estimates that there are still 1,000 bodies under the rubble in Gaza that have not been identified and have not yet been recorded as part of the death toll." It noted that "we have obtained the names of 6,740 people killed in Gaza." Richard Paberkorn, the organization's representative in the Palestinian territories, responded to a question regarding the death toll in Gaza, saying: "We have also received these estimates indicating that there are still over 1,000 individuals under the rubble who have not yet been identified." Health authorities in Gaza report that more than 7,000 people have been killed in the airstrikes carried out by Israel in response to the attacks launched by Hamas militants on Israel on October 7.
