Iraq Warns of Regional Conflict If War Resumes in Gaza

Farhad Aladdin, adviser to Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani on foreign affairs, predicted that the region may witness a regional conflict unless the current truce in Gaza transforms into a permanent ceasefire. The Iraqi Prime Minister's advisor stated that the entire region is approaching a devastating conflict that could involve everyone, the extent and how to control and stop it are unknown. He told Reuters that for this reason, Iraq believes that any ceasefire in the conflict is beneficial and important at this stage, first for the Palestinian people and for all countries in the region, including Iraq.
