Ronaldo Speaks for the First Time About His Deceased Son: "I Keep His Ashes Close to My Father's Ashes"

Ronaldo Speaks for the First Time About His Deceased Son:

In April, specifically on the 18th, Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo announced the birth of twins with his partner Georgina Rodriguez, 28 years old. However, he shared his sorrow over the death of one of them, a boy named Angel, while the daughter, named Bella, is still alive. Ronaldo had not spoken about his son since that time until a recent interview with Piers Morgan, in which he described the death of his son as the worst moment of his life. He explained that he never expected to feel both happy and sad at the same time, something he said is hard to explain.

Ronaldo told Morgan, in the latest clip shared from the interview on TalkTV, which will be aired in full on Wednesday and Thursday: "It may have been the worst moment I’ve had in my life since my father passed away. When you have a child, you expect everything to be normal, and when you have a problem, it’s difficult. Georgina and I went through tough moments. It was very, very hard to understand what was happening during that period of my life."

Ronaldo added that he keeps his son Angel's ashes close to his father's ashes, who died of liver failure in 2005, in a small church in his home. He said, "I talk to them all the time, they are by my side. You know they help me to be a better man, to be a better person, to be a better father. It’s something I’m really proud of."

Ronaldo then became emotional while discussing the tragedy with Morgan and added how he cried alongside his eldest son Cristiano Jr. when he told the other children about Angel's death. He explained that he informed them about a week after the passing, after they insisted on asking where he was. However, he noted that their daughter Bella, who is now six months old, is a wonderful and beautiful girl, and they are all very proud of her.
