Major stock indexes on Wall Street opened higher on Wednesday as Treasury yields fell to their lowest level in several months amid increasing optimism about the possibility of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates next year. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 19.82 points, or 0.06%, to 35,436.80 points at the opening. The Standard & Poor's 500 index increased by 16.95 points, or 0.37%, to 4,571.84 points. The Nasdaq Composite climbed by 85.36 points, or 0.60%, to 14,367.11 points.
