Israeli Army Reveals Tunnel Beneath Khan Younis - Video

The Israeli army announced today, Thursday, that operations in Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip have been expanded "above and below ground," as Israeli forces clashed with militants and destroyed over 100 tunnel openings in the area. According to a statement from the Israeli army, a tunnel was discovered linked to the city's civilian infrastructure, where hostages were held. An evaluation by the Israeli army indicated that millions had been invested in the tunnel.

The statement added that nearly 300 Hamas tunnels were discovered by forces in the area, "including openings leading to large underground tunnels, tactical combat tunnels, and tunnels used for storing ammunition and combat complexes."
