Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that "there is no complete solution to what is happening in the Gaza Strip, and we must prepare for a deterioration in the security situation on the border with Lebanon." He added in a statement: "We do not want to reach war in the north, and we want to safely return our citizens there."
