Basil Meets Daghman: Agreement on the Need for Refugee Return

The head of the "Free Patriotic Movement," MP Gebran Basil, emphasized during his meeting with the Chargé d'Affaires of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ali Daghman, the importance of fostering good relations between the two countries. He reiterated his long-standing position for over five years on the necessity of Syria's return to the Arab League and that it should be embraced back into the Arab fold rather than being pushed into the arms of terrorism. According to a statement from the "Movement," there was an agreement on the need for Syrian refugees to return to their country, which is in the mutual interest of both Lebanon and Syria, noting that the current international policies are the primary obstacle to achieving this return.
