Heavy Rainfall in the Al-Baha Region of Southwestern Saudi Arabia

Social media users in Saudi Arabia shared a video capturing a state of instability on Monday evening in the neighborhoods of the Al-Baha area in southwestern Saudi Arabia. The General Directorate of Civil Defense called for caution due to the increased chances of summer thunderstorms in most areas of the Kingdom, starting from Tuesday until next Saturday.

They advised staying in safe places during the rainfall and avoiding areas where torrents, stagnant water, and valleys collect, as well as refraining from swimming in them due to their unsuitability and the dangers they pose. The public was also urged to adhere to the announced guidelines via various media and social media platforms.

The Directorate noted that the Makkah region will be affected by moderate to heavy rains that could lead to the flow of torrents, hail, and active winds stirring up dust and debris. The warning included cities like Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Ardiyat, Al-Kamil, and regions such as Aseer, Al-Baha, and Jazan.
