The General Director of Civil Defense, Colonel Raymond Khattar, toured civil defense centers in the north as preparations for winter have begun. This visit is part of his ongoing field inspections of centers across Lebanon. Khattar met with the personnel from the centers affiliated with the Bsharri Regional Center, as well as the regional centers in Zgharta and Deddé. He emphasized the "necessity of maintaining complete readiness to respond to the calls of citizens and residents promptly, especially with the approach of winter." He pointed out that "the residents often find no one to assist them during heavy snowfall, which leads to road blockages and drivers being stranded in their vehicles, except for the civil defense personnel who have always fulfilled their national and humanitarian duties." Khattar gave "instructions to the personnel to adhere to their work hours, maintain discipline, refrain from using social media to share information related to civil defense without prior permission, and not to accept any donations except in accordance with the known legal procedures, or else they would subject themselves to disciplinary action for violating any of these directives."
