Saudi Arabia and the European Union Discuss Developments in Gaza

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan met today, Saturday, with the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, on the sidelines of the Manama Dialogue 2023 held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, where bin Farhan reiterated "the Kingdom's rejection of the continued military escalation and the violations committed by the Israeli army against civilians," emphasizing the importance of halting escalation and the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. He also stressed the importance of "securing urgent humanitarian corridors for the relief of children, women, and civilians in Gaza, calling on the international community to "stand against all blatant violations of international humanitarian law practiced by the Israeli occupation forces against civilians in Gaza." Present at the meeting was the Chargé d'Affairs at the Embassy in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Saleh bin Falih Al-Otaibi.
