Source: Cargo Ship Sails from Ukrainian Port on the Black Sea

A source in the sector indicated today, Tuesday, that "a cargo ship has sailed from a Ukrainian port on the Black Sea after being loaded with goods." The source refrained from providing further details. Ukraine has established a new temporary "humanitarian corridor" along the coast since Moscow's withdrawal from an agreement in July that allowed for the safe export of Ukrainian grain across the Black Sea. Moscow withdrew from the agreement after a year and reinstated the blockade, attributing this to the disregard of its demands regarding the removal of obstacles to its food and fertilizer exports. The closure of ports has already impacted Ukrainian grain exports, which dropped by 51 percent this month to 1.57 million tons, compared to 3.21 million tons during the same period last year.
