Yesterday, the delegation of youth participating in the opening ceremony of "Beirut, Capital of Arab Youth" and the "Arab Forum for Economic and Social Empowerment" was completed. The Arab Youth Forum for Economic and Social Empowerment, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and UNICEF in Lebanon, is the first activity of Beirut as the Capital of Arab Youth 2023, and it kicks off at 10 AM today, Thursday. Youth delegations representing 15 countries, including Syria, Jordan, Iraq, Palestine, Yemen, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Djibouti, Somalia, Sudan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman, have arrived in Beirut. The forum will commence with speeches from UNICEF, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League Haifa Abou Ghazaleh, Lebanese Minister of Youth and Sports George Klas, and an intervention on empowerment by the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi.
