Bou Saab: We Cannot Discuss Resolution 1701 Before Stopping the War

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Elias Bou Saab received Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon, Alaa Moussa, at his office in the council today, Thursday. They discussed the overall situation on the domestic front. The presidential election and the role of the facilitating five-member committee in the process of reactivating the movement towards electing a president were also addressed. Additionally, they talked about the recent developments due to the "war on Gaza and Israeli attacks on Lebanon," where Bou Saab stated that "we cannot talk about Resolution 1701 before stopping the war and then moving to the phase that follows the ceasefire in Lebanon, including the land demarcation file."
