Lebanon Affected by a Rainy Low Pressure System… Heavy Rains and Flood Warnings

The Directorate of Estimates at the Lebanese Meteorological Service reported that the eastern Mediterranean basin is gradually being affected by a rainy low-pressure system starting Monday and continuing for several days, with warnings of potential flooding due to heavy rainfall early Monday and during the day on Tuesday and in the morning on Wednesday. The average temperatures in Beirut for November are between 17 and 25 degrees.

**Expected Weather in Lebanon:**

- **Monday:** Partly cloudy to cloudy with a noticeable drop in temperatures and heavy fog in high areas. Scattered rain will begin in the afternoon, intensifying particularly in the north, accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds with a chance of hail at times.

- **Tuesday:** Partly to mostly cloudy with an additional decrease in temperatures, which will drop below seasonal averages, with occasional thick fog in high areas. Scattered rain may intensify occasionally along with lightning, thunder, and active winds. Snow will fall intermittently in the Lebanese mountains starting at an altitude of 2200 meters during the night.

- **Wednesday:** Partly cloudy to cloudy with a continued decrease in temperatures. Fog will form in high areas, and scattered rain will fall, potentially heavy in the morning, with lightning, thunder, and the formation of floods. Winds will also intensify. Snow will fall intermittently in the Lebanese mountains starting at an altitude of 2000 meters during the night. Rain intensity will decrease starting in the afternoon.
