The Israeli military announced today, Tuesday, that it has "opened Salah al-Din Street to serve as a humanitarian corridor for civilians" traveling from northern Gaza and the city of Gaza towards the south. Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adrai stated on his official account on the platform "X": "O residents of Gaza, join the many who are heading to south Gaza Valley at this hour! I would like to inform you that despite Hamas continuously undermining the humanitarian efforts being made for your benefit and using you as human shields, the Israel Defense Forces will allow passage again today on Salah al-Din Road between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM." He added: "For your safety, take this upcoming opportunity to move south beyond Gaza Valley. If you care about yourselves and your loved ones, head south according to our instructions. Rest assured that Hamas leaders have already started to take care of their own defense."
