The newspaper "Politico" reported that Western countries are preparing for a new Cold War with Russia. It cited Finnish Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen, who pointed to "Russia's capabilities to produce weapons and continue the war for years." The Finnish defense minister stated, "Russia has the capabilities and resources to continue this conflict for years, while many overestimate the possibility of victory for the West and Ukraine." He added that Western countries have entered into a "new Cold War" with Russia, in light of the increased military production to continue supporting Ukraine and countering Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that "the West continues its hybrid war against Russia and supplies the Kyiv regime with everything it needs, including weapons and financial, material, and intelligence support, and all of this will not deter Russia from achieving all its goals in its military operation in Ukraine."
