The Minister of Education and Higher Education in the caretaker government, Abbas Halabi, issued a circular to all officials in schools, secondary schools, and public and private institutions stating: "On the occasion of the 'International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People' which falls on next Wednesday, and on the occasion of the 'Arab Teacher Day for Resistance to Normalization' which occurs on Wednesday, 06/12/2023, amidst the brutal aggression faced by the occupied Palestinian territories and southern Lebanon, and in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their resistance to occupation and their demand for their legitimate rights to establish an independent state that preserves their existence and land to live a life of dignity and pride.
To raise awareness among students about this just Arab cause and the sacrifices of the Palestinian resistance, as well as the negative impact of normalization on the Palestinian people, particularly and the Arab people in general, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education calls upon all officials in schools, secondary schools, and public and private institutions to ask teachers to dedicate one lesson to explain the Palestinian cause, the necessity of solidarity with it, and the importance of resisting normalization, to commemorate the above-mentioned occasions."
