Turkey in Contact with Israel to Resolve Issue of Detained Aid Shipment

Diplomatic sources in Turkey stated on Monday that the Turkish Foreign Ministry is in communication with Israeli authorities to resolve the issue of a detained aid shipment at an Israeli port. A United Nations relief agency reported on Sunday that a shipment from Turkey consisting of 1,049 containers of supplies, including flour, chickpeas, sugar, and cooking oil, intended to meet the needs of 1.1 million people for a month, is being held at the port.
