UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the developments in the region during phone calls with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, and Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid. The discussions, as reported by the Emirates News Agency (WAM), focused on efforts to stop the escalation and the importance of protecting civilians from the repercussions of the current crisis. Bin Zayed emphasized that the current situation requires urgent action from all effective international parties to reduce tension and prevent the situation from spiraling out of control. He stressed the necessity of exercising the highest degree of wisdom and the importance of calming the situation, indicating that the region urgently needs stability, which cannot be achieved without adopting the option of comprehensive, just peace and sustainable security.
