It was reported a while ago that a motorcycle driver attempted to pass through a police checkpoint of the Beirut municipality in the Ashrafieh area. When a municipal officer intervened, the motorcycle driver shot him, injuring him in the neck, and he died instantly. While fleeing, the driver stopped a person of Egyptian nationality, shot him in the legs, stole his motorcycle, and escaped in an unknown direction.
