The newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" reported today, Tuesday, that "Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant went to the Gaza Strip accompanied by Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Amir Baram to assess the situation with the fighters of Division 99, led by Brigadier General Barak Hiram."
The report stated that Galant spoke with reserve soldiers in the 646th Division, expressing his appreciation for their activities during the war. He mentioned that "the war on Gaza will not stop until a resolution is reached," addressing the soldiers: "We will stay in Gaza for a period of time if necessary."
He continued: "There is no task more sacred than the one we are currently undertaking; Israel has been subjected to brutal and harsh attacks aimed at preventing us from living here." He pointed out that "an unresolved war will not allow Israel to live in the Middle East," saying: "The army is determined to achieve its objectives."
He added: "The threats on the northern front are increasing, and we will begin preparations to confront them." Galant concluded: "The finger is on the trigger regarding developments on the border with Lebanon."
