Death of Former Minister Sajaan Qazzi

Today, former minister, writer, and former member of the Lebanese Kataeb Party, Sajaan Qazzi, passed away at the age of 71 after a battle with illness. Sajaan Milad Qazzi was born in the town of Aqibeh - Fatooh Kesrouan on November 6, 1952. He joined the Kataeb Party as a youth and fought within its ranks, serving as the Deputy President of the Kataeb in 2010. He received his primary, intermediate, and secondary education at the Rasoul Institute - Jounieh, studied philosophy at the Holy Spirit University - Kaslik, and pursued political and administrative sciences at Saint Joseph University - Jesuit, while working as a journalist for several media organizations, including the newspaper "Al-Amal," as well as Lebanon TV (French channel), and the newspapers "Al-Jarida" and magazines "Magazine" and "Al-Jadeed." He later became the head of the news department at "Voice of Lebanon" radio station in 1975, before founding "Lebanon Free" radio station in 1978 and managing it until 1986. He held the position of Minister of Labor in the government of President Tammam Salam during the presidency of Michel Sleiman, from February 15, 2014, to December 18, 2016.
