The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) confirmed today, Thursday, their readiness to execute any order from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces that preserves the sovereignty of Iraq and the safety of its citizens. They indicated that the bombing of Brigade 12 represents a deliberate and dangerous escalation that reflects a blatant insistence on violating Iraqi sovereignty and the existing law.
In a statement, the PMF said: "Once again, aggression against official security locations renews from the attacking American forces by targeting a site affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces via a drone today." They added that "this criminal act is a clear violation and challenge to Iraqi sovereignty and the security authorities associated with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, undermining all international laws and norms."
They further stated that "the deliberate and dangerous escalation expresses an obvious insistence on violating sovereignty and the existing Iraqi law, showing contempt for Iraqi blood and the dignity of Iraqis."
