Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek stated that the data released today, showing a 5.9 percent growth in the Turkish economy in the third quarter, is encouraging but that this growth will slow down in the upcoming period. He told TRT Haber, the official channel: "Economic growth is strong, and this is encouraging." He added, "But the important thing here is to increase the quality of growth," noting that "redirecting resources to effective areas and increasing efficiency will be key drivers of growth." He mentioned that "inflows of capital are strengthening and are expected to increase starting from the second half of 2024, and there is interest in investment from Gulf countries."
