Available information about the hijacked ship in the Red Sea on "Marine Traffic" indicates that the ship "Galaxy Leader" is dedicated to transporting cargo (a car carrier) with a total capacity of 48,710 tons. It is 189.2 meters long and 32.29 meters wide, built in 2002 and flying the flag of the Bahamas. Media reports state that the ship is owned by Israeli businessman Rami Ungar. The Houthis have detained the vessel with 52 individuals on board, who are currently being investigated according to a Houthi source to ascertain their nationalities.
