The spokesperson for the Tunisian National Guard, Hossameddine Jbabli, stated today that at least 17 Tunisians are missing after they boarded a boat to migrate to Italy. Jbabli told Reuters that the missing individuals, including a five-year-old child, sailed on a fishing boat from Bizerte in northern Tunisia last week. He mentioned that the Coast Guard and navy, supported by helicopters, have begun search operations for the missing persons.
