Agreement Signed for German Military Aid to Lebanon

Army Commander General Joseph Aoun and the German Ambassador to Lebanon, Kurt Georg Stoeckl-Stillfried, signed an agreement under which the German authorities will provide a grant of two million euros to support the army. Of this amount, one million euros will be allocated for fuel procurement and one million euros for medical support. This grant is an addition to a similar grant previously provided. General Aoun considered this assistance extremely important given the current exceptional circumstances, expressing his appreciation to the German authorities for their support of the military institution. The German ambassador also confirmed that his country is committed to supporting the army in various ways due to the vital missions it undertakes.
