Title: Israeli President: We Are Ready for a Humanitarian Ceasefire in Gaza to Recover Hostages

Israeli President Isaac Herzog announced today, Tuesday, that Israel is prepared to enter into another foreign-mediated ceasefire in Gaza to recover hostages held by Hamas and to enable more aid to reach the besieged Palestinian territory. According to his office, Herzog, whose role is largely ceremonial, said before a gathering of ambassadors, "Israel is ready for another humanitarian ceasefire and more humanitarian aid to facilitate the release of hostages." He added, "The responsibility lies entirely with (Hamas leader Yahya) Sinwar and other Hamas leaders."
