Tunisia Extends State of Emergency for 11 Months

The official newspaper in Tunisia reported today, Tuesday, that President Kais Saied has extended the long-standing state of emergency for an additional 11 months until December 31, 2024. The state of emergency has been in place in Tunisia since 2015, following an attack during which several members of the presidential guard were killed. The extension of the state of emergency applies throughout the entire territory of the republic until the end of 2024.
