Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, announced that "the Ministry of Public Works and Transport's machinery immediately moved to clear the dirt and rocks from the international road in Déhfrar, which were swept away by the flood from above, and the road is now passable." A part of a landslide occurred on the Déhfrar international highway, leading to the road's closure. This comes at a time when Lebanon is experiencing a weather front accompanied by heavy rains.
