The Moroccan star Samira Said, during her appearance on the second part of the program "Al-Sirah" hosted by the Egyptian media figure Wafa Kilan on dmc channel, shared details about her divorce from Moroccan businessman Mustafa Al-Nabulsi, the father of her only son "Shadi," whom she married one month after completing her waiting period following her divorce from her first husband, the Egyptian musician Hany Mohanna.
Samira Said explained that she has never talked about her separation from Al-Nabulsi, indicating that their relationship is good due to the bond they share, which is their son "Shadi." Said affirmed that the reason for their separation was that her husband could not settle with her in Morocco, and she also could not settle in America, making communication difficult for them. The artist noted the mutual respect between her and her ex-husband Al-Nabulsi, describing him as a "well-mannered good man." She stated, "We have never talked about our separation at all, and his current wife is a very close friend of mine; she is a respectable and cultured woman, and we have a good relationship. I consider his children as mine; they are Shadi's siblings forever."
On the other hand, Samira Said refused to comment on statements made by her first husband, musician Hany Mohanna, saying, "I don’t like to talk about personal matters. I think I have talked about my marriage to him once or twice at most, and I rarely discuss it. This is what I was raised to believe, that we don't discuss the reasons for separation just as we don’t disclose the reasons for marriage."
Samira Said emphasizes that marriage has its secrets and private matters that only the two parties know, adding that revealing details is undesirable. She completely denied having a secret marriage after her second divorce, stating that she has been living without marriage for 23 years during which she has had relationships that could have led to a third official marriage, but that did not happen.
The artist talked about her son Shadi, saying: "I raised him to be a respectful person, instilling values in him about how to respect his mother, his friends, and women in general, so he can face society... I surely dream of marrying him off and I would be happy if he gets married while I’m still alive." She added: "He is 25 years old and has not yet clearly started his professional life since he’s exploring various things... He needs to be able to face life, start earning money, and establish a household to become a responsible man."
She continued: "I have started getting used to being alone, and we will never be able to give up love and affection until the last breath of our lives... My experiences with men have taught me that if there is no respect and affection, it is better to avoid the relationship, especially if it is not balanced." When asked if she could support a man, she replied: "Of course not, I don’t like to spend on a man, but if he cannot provide for me and I can afford it, I can take care of myself while he takes care of himself as long as there is respect."
Regarding granting her son Egyptian citizenship, Samira Said stated: "Shadi has not obtained Egyptian citizenship because he holds Moroccan and American citizenship, and unfortunately, he cannot obtain a third nationality."
