US Official Arrives in Egypt to Discuss Aid to Gaza

A spokesperson for the US Agency for International Development, Jessica Jennings, revealed to Reuters that the agency's Administrator Samantha Power arrived in Sinai, Egypt, today, Tuesday, where she is expected to announce additional aid exceeding $21 million for the Palestinian people. The spokesperson noted that Power arrived in Al-Arish with 36,000 pounds of food and medical supplies that were airlifted by the US Department of Defense from Jordan and are heading to Gaza. The additional aid that Power is set to announce today will support the provision of health supplies, shelter, food, and other assistance for residents of Gaza and the West Bank affected by the conflict.
