The Chairman of NATO's Military Committee, Rob Bauer, urged citizens of member countries to prepare for a total war with Russia in the coming two decades, according to "Russia Today." He stated, "We must understand that our peaceful existence is not a given, and therefore we need to prepare for conflict with Russia and be ready for anything. We need a system that allows us to train more people." Bauer praised Sweden for asking its citizens to prepare for war before officially joining the alliance. He added, "Everything starts with that, and from the understanding that not everything can be planned, and not everything will be good over the next twenty years." Bauer called for an update of the industry so that weapons and ammunition can be produced more quickly.
