Pochettino Faces New Injury Crisis at Chelsea After Mudryk's Injury

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino stated on Thursday that "Mykhailo Mudryk has become the latest addition to the long list of injuries in his team after the Ukrainian forward sustained an injury during training." Chelsea has experienced several injuries at the start of the season, including captain Reece James, who suffered a hamstring injury in the opening round, and Christopher Nkunku, who underwent surgery. Mudryk is now the ninth player sidelined from the team, with the club not disclosing the nature of his injury.

Pochettino informed reporters ahead of the match against Luton Town tomorrow: "He will not be available for tomorrow’s match; the injury is not serious, we may have to wait a week or perhaps a few days." Carney Chukwuemeka left the match against West Ham injured after scoring in the 3-1 loss earlier this week and subsequently underwent knee surgery but is expected to recover sooner than initially anticipated. The coach remarked: "It’s not an injury for several months, perhaps weeks. I think it’s just unfortunate in some situations like Carney on Sunday. It is true, it is football. I am not lucky with injuries."
