The "Judges' Club of Lebanon" stated in a statement, "Before the parliament convenes tomorrow, as part of its agenda is the approval of the draft law on the independence of the judiciary, there is an urgent need to enact a law that guarantees actual independence free from the blemishes that the club has previously detailed, particularly concerning the formation of the Supreme Judicial Council, the judicial formations process, the judicial inspection authority, the operation of the Judicial Studies Institute, and the freedom of judges to express and assemble." The statement concluded: "It is hoped that the necessary amendments will be made and the desired law approved in tomorrow's session, and that the session does not meet the fate of its predecessors by returning the law for reexamination for years and years."
