The command stated: "The arrest of Huwaidi al-Yemeni and his associates will disrupt the organization’s ability to plan and execute operations," noting that the operation did not result in the death or injury of civilians. Earlier this month, the U.S. military announced it had killed senior ISIS leader Khalid Ahmed al-Jabouri in Syria, stating he was responsible for planning attacks in Europe and Turkey and developing ISIS's command structure in Turkey.
