Arrests and Raids by the Lebanese Army

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation announced that on January 15, 2024, a patrol from the Directorate of Intelligence in the Nahr al-Bared camp - Tripoli arrested two Palestinians (H.A.) and (E.A.) for firing shots and possessing military weapons, and a hand grenade was seized from one of them. The Directorate indicated that "on January 16, 2024, another patrol from the Directorate, supported by a unit from the army, arrested citizen (H.H.) in the Hay al-Salym area - Southern Suburb, who was wanted for committing crimes: firing shots and intimidating citizens, arms trafficking, drug dealing and promotion, stealing motorcycles and mobile phones, and causing disturbances. A Kalashnikov assault rifle, a pistol, ammunition, military equipment, and a stolen motorcycle were seized from him. The confiscated items were handed over, and an investigation with the arrested individuals began under the supervision of the competent judiciary."
