Kyiv: 10 People Injured in Russian Rocket Attacks

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported today, Thursday, that "ten people were injured and five were trapped, seemingly under the rubble, due to rocket attacks launched by Russia last night in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine." Klymenko stated, "Russia fired six missiles at three residential areas in the Donetsk region, most of which is controlled by Russian forces." He added, "Pokrovsk, Novorodivka, and Myrnagrad were targeted. The shelling resulted in injuries to 10 people, including four children, and efforts are underway to search for five others under the debris." He noted that "among the victims is a family with two small children and two 13-year-olds." The shelling caused damage to an apartment building, nine private homes, a police station, vehicles, and garages. Russian forces have occupied most of Donetsk, and Russia claims it intends to take full control of the area.
