Iraq and Iran Discuss Ways to Enhance Judicial and Legal Cooperation

The President of the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq, Faik Zidan, met today, Wednesday, with the head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, to enhance judicial and legal cooperation on mutual issues. A statement from the Supreme Judicial Council mentioned that "Zidan received the head of the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei and his accompanying delegation." It added that "the visit of the Iranian judiciary head and his accompanying delegation comes in response to an invitation from the head of the Supreme Judicial Council, Judge Faik Zidan." It was noted that "the two sides discussed enhancing judicial and legal cooperation between the two countries on common issues."
