Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan asserted that "Israel is committing war crimes in Gaza," considering that "the international community has clearly failed this test." In a speech during the international communication conference in Istanbul, Erdogan stated: "Israel has killed more than 60 journalists in the Gaza Strip so far, cut off electricity and water, imposed a total blockade on the region, and committed massacres and genocide." He added: "The international community has clearly failed this test, as it has ignored and turned a blind eye to Israeli crimes, which were broadcast live to the world, while the United Nations has become dysfunctional in this crisis." He pointed out that "from the first day, we stood by the oppressed Palestinians, rejected Israeli massacres against them, and worked with all our specialized teams to expose the truths of what Israel is doing in genocide," stressing that "Israel is committing war crimes."
