Alpha Tauri, owned by Red Bull and renamed to "Visa Cash App RB," announced three high-level appointments to its technical team on Monday to assist drivers Daniel Ricciardo and Yuki Tsunoda in their progress. The Italy-based team stated in a release that it has signed former Alpine sporting director Alan Bermann, former FIA technical director Tim Ghosh, and Guillaume Catelani from Red Bull Technology. Ghosh will join in October as the chief technical director, while the veteran Bermann will assume the role of race director immediately and will report to the new team principal Laurent Mekies, who has replaced Franz Tost. Bermann, who was a cornerstone of the Alpine team in Enstone since the Benetton and Renault glory days, left the Renault-owned team last July during a wide restructuring. Catelani will serve as deputy technical director, focusing on aerodynamic performance and vehicle technology, and will work alongside technical director Jody Eggington. New CEO Peter Bayer stated, "These appointments represent a strong step forward for the Visa Cash App RB team."
