Guterres: The Israeli Attack on Rafah Will Have "Unimaginable Consequences"

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed deep concern on Wednesday regarding reports that the Israeli military intends to focus on Rafah in southern Gaza as the next phase of its attack on the Palestinian territory. Speaking before the UN General Assembly, which consists of 193 members, he stated, "Such an action would exacerbate what is already a humanitarian nightmare, and it also has unimaginable regional consequences." He again called for an immediate ceasefire for humanitarian reasons and the unconditional release of all hostages.
