Lebanese Forces Party leader Sami Gemayel welcomed Hungarian Ambassador Ferenc Chilala, with the presence of political bureau members Saadallah Ardo and George Estephan, Ambassador Charbel Estephan, and the party's head of foreign relations, Marwan Abdullah. They discussed the latest developments in the region and their implications for Lebanon.
Gemayel emphasized the seriousness of the escalating situation in the south and the absence of state authority, stressing the need for international community intervention to prevent Lebanon from slipping into war and to ensure the implementation of international resolutions, particularly 1701.
Additionally, Gemayel received a delegation from the Executive Committee of the National Bloc Party, led by Secretary-General Michel Helou, which provided an opportunity to address the latest updates regarding the threats facing Lebanon due to further escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.
After the meeting, Helou stated: "We share many principles with the Lebanese Forces Party and have been fully coordinating for some time. We believe that in light of these circumstances, it is important to enhance communication in order to protect our country in the potentially challenging days ahead."
