Venezuelan Josef Martínez opened the scoring for Inter with a penalty in the 12th minute, followed by Finnish Robert Taylor adding a second goal in the 32nd minute. In the second half, Inter scored two more goals, one from Charlotte's French defender Adilson Malanda, who scored an own goal in the 78th minute, and Messi scored just two minutes before the end of regular time.
