Pentagon Suggests Casualties from U.S. Strikes in Iraq and Syria

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced on Monday that it anticipates casualties from recent U.S. strikes on targets linked to Iran in Iraq and Syria, but added that it is still assessing the situation. Major General Patrick Ryder told reporters, "Casualties are likely in these strikes," adding that U.S. forces in Syria have faced two attacks since Friday's strikes, but there were no injuries among U.S. troops.
