Continuation of the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka Until 2029

The Formula 1 World Championship announced on Friday that the "Japanese Grand Prix will continue at Suzuka, owned by Honda, until at least 2029 following a five-year contract extension with the circuit." The championship's CEO, Stefano Domenicali, stated: "Suzuka is a special circuit and is part of the fabric of the championship. So, I am happy for Formula 1 to continue racing there at least until 2029." The race will take place in April this year, a different date from previous events, and will be the fourth round between the Australian and Chinese Grands Prix, while the championship works towards smoother race organization and reducing carbon emissions through shorter flight distances than in the past.
