Canada imposed sanctions today, Tuesday, on senior leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), including Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed al-Daif. The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a statement that the sanctions target 11 individuals, including leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, due to this attack "and the threat posed by Hamas and its affiliated groups to security in the region."
